Ruuvi Innovations in Tampere launched the RuuviTag in 2016 as an open-source Bluetooth sensor for temperature, humidity and motion. The tags are used in homes, saunas, cold storage and hobby projects, with data accessible via mobile apps and integrations including Home Assistant without required cloud subscriptions.
